So earlier today, I decided I wanted a ukulele. It seems like a good start to string instruments because apparently Guitar Hero doesn't count as an actual instrument...
But anyway, I've looked around on eBay and Craig's List (which surprised me at how few people in Nashville have ukes for sale, which is a total of ZERO.) and so I'm either getting one from Nashville's numerous shops or I'll order one. Either way, I have to pay for it.
When I searched for ukulele prices on Google, the first thing I saw must have been a high-class uke, because it's lowest price was $550.00 for a 4-string. I saw several ukuleles on eBay for about 40, 50, and 60 dollars. That would be an awesome price, but I'm probably not ordering one, just because of waiting and auctioning isn't always the best thing (even though you can just buy one instead of auction on eBay). There's probably several low-price guitar stores with ukuleles and I intend on finding one with good intentions on what I'll be buying.
I knew that I wanted a ukulele because of my favorite band/mucisian person, NeverShoutNever, A.K.A. Christofer Drew. A lot of his songs are ukulele songs and they sound really nice. I figured, "Hey, why not learn to play some of his songs?" and thus, I have begun my search for a uke myself.
I want a Concert (soprano) ukulele. It's the ukulele that's size is a little bigger than the traditional uke, and more people play it now-a-days. It'll most likely come with a case already and then the only thing I'll need is patience and the internet! Yes, I'm going to learn my songs off the internet. Hey, why not use the free source to anything and everything? That's my theory here.
End of Part One.
