Yesterday, I recieved my very own ukulele. Her name is Darlene. She's gonna take a little while to get used to. First, I can't get her tuned!! I tried the piano and a YouTube thing. Graham might have got it, but I don't know.
I'm really excited about getting her though, because there's gonna be a talent show some time this school year (probably at the end of it) and I'll actually enter if I know how to play by then. I've been asked by Kendell, a chick at my school, to play "First Dance" by NeverShoutNever (and sing, which I'm not super excited about), so I'll learn that one (after I learn how to play something other than C Chord, which is a strum where you hold down the third notch on the first string.) So yeah!
Luckily, though I got a "Learn Ukulele Yourself" book at the same time as my uke, so that'll help a bit. (The only problem is that it is VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND IN THE BEGINNING!!) But I'm gonna get lessons, so yeah.
