Week One of Camp

7/16/10

Blog Entry 1:
7/11/10

We have just arrived in the cabin a few hours ago. We're staying in one that I didn't expect to be in, but it's still awesome. Anyway, NO HILLS! YAY!
Spork, our counselor/cabin leader, is here so that's cool. She's just spunky. I thought I should say that about her. It's true, ya know. Mallory is here with me, too, but Madison isn't. She's not coming until she can train to be a counselor/barn staff.

--------------------------------------------------------

We're not doing anything today, but we'll be riding horses and climbing trees by tomorrow.

P.S. Pictures will be put on the blog as long as they don't include people other than myself or Mallory (unless my face is still burnt).

P.S.S. No quotes, sorry.

Friend made! I just thought I should say that. This blog will be continued in a few hours. I needed to write, so I wrote this little shnibblette...
----------------------------------------------------

Okay, it's been about two hours since Part One of Part Two of this blog. So yeah. (There's about four girls singing Taylor Swift beside me... one thinks she's "Gangster"...). There's some other stuff going on right now.

1. THUNDER STORMS! Yay!

2. Oh Crap. They're singing "Part in the U.S.A."
Joy...

Well, that's probably the end to this part of the blog right now, but I might write later... maybe not.

I'm in the barn.
----------------

Not anymore. There was a bit of a tragety... someone died! Just kidding. A girl got her foot stepped on the foot by Clyde, my favorite horse, as she dismounted. She's fine, though, and Clyde is still my favorite.
So apparently, there's a surprise for us at the Red Barn, the "Cafeteria". We're having our cookout there, which is weird because it's cook OUT. But whatever; there's air conditioning.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In case you were wondering, the camp owns about 42 horses ranging from ages 3 to about 25. Colors are all over: duns, bays, chestnut, roans (Clyde!), and a variety of many others. Some breeds include Shires, Clydesdales, Tennessee Walking Horses, Shetland Ponies, Blue Roans, Paints, and Thouroghbreds.
So, obviously, we have a lot of shapes, sizes, colors, breeds, etc., etc...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I brought my Build-A-Bear owl, Hedwig (I know; not very original name, but Harry Potter rocks socks.). He's wearing jeans and a hood made out of an old bandana. I thought I should add that.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I'mma go now.

P.S. I got 5 syllables for you: AIR CONDITIONING! YEAH! ("Yeah" doesn't count as my syllables...)

Blog Entry 4:

Today's... Wednesday? I think so. No, scratch that, it's Tuesday! Happy Tuesday, ever'one! I rode another favorite horse today: Ivan. He's a Shire from a circus. He's super calm and very well trained. (The camp sort of saved him - he had to carry tigers (and lions and bears, oh my!) and such.).
So yeah, it rained, so we missed High Ropes, a rope obsticle course in the trees. We didn't shower last night because of the thunder storms, but we got one this morning while High Ropes was cancelled.
Apparently, Spork, our counselor, thought she was going crazy 'cause she heard these voices... Turned out it was Mallory and my mail. Yup, my mom sent us "Mr. Men, Little Miss" stuffed figurines that talk. Thanks, Mom... Just kidding, they're entertaining. (I GOT MR. TICKLE!) Cartoons rock, yo.

Peace out, home-dogs.

Day is Done, Gone the Sun. (Quote, Taps). So yeah. Shower: Check. Bed: Check.
Ready for bed? I AM! I'm so tired... though I feel a slight urge to get up and dance... Just kidding.
We went swimming after dinner and had fun, and then took showers and headed back to Pine Hill.

Short blog right?

I skipped a day! Sorry.
Anyway, we had a watery horse day. Nova (a mustang) was my team's horse. It was pretty fun, but we were seriously soaked afterwards.

-------------------------------------------

We have to do a skit for the end of camp and I have to be a counselor named Cornbread. I have to step up and say "Please and thank you, girlies". So yeah...

--------------------------------------------------------------

So yeah... Peace.

TODAY.

So I just got back from camp a few hours ago. I'm at my dad's apartment and COUNSELORS LIVE HERE. It's weird. It's at least Skittles (or someone who looks like her), but someone who we think is Jingles came to drop her off or something. It was cool.

Still no quotes!
